National Centre for Design & Product Development (NCDPD) set up a specially designed theme pavilion for North East handicraft during the Indian Handicraft & Gifts Fair at Expo Mart at Greater Noida from 15th October to 18 October 2011 to provide a comprehensive market- enabled international platform to the producers, exporters of India handmade crafts from the entire North East Region. The basic objective of the theme was to provide thrust to the export of handicraft from this region. Bamboo and Cane Development Institute along with Entrepreneurs from all across the NER participate in the Fair and were part of this theme pavilion.
