AWARENESS WORKSHOPS ON INCLUSIVE GROWTH SCHEME CONCLUDED SUCCESSFULLY

Sensitization program on inclusive growth scheme for aggressive development & promotion of NER crafts (IGS) were implemented by NCDPD through BCDI, Agartala in six states of the NER. A total of 10 two days programs each having 125 participants were implemented during 11th April to 4th August 2011. Two such programmes were conducted in Assam (Guwahati), Arunachal Pradesh (Itanagar & Pasighat) Tripura (Agartala & Dharmanagar), Manipur (Imphal); while one program each was conducted in Nagaland (Dimapur) and Meghalaya (Shillong).
The purpose of these workshops was to make the stakeholders aware of the upcoming scheme of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) and to take their valuable inputs on various issues to be addressed by the scheme.
